"Hiking Tour in San Jerónimo of San Pedro"

     Montaña y Niebla is a private property located in San Jerónimo of San Pedro. A place surrounded by forest vegetation, wildlife, and the majestic mountains of the Talamanca mountain range. In addition to its natural beauty, we will find very kind people happy of our visit. Our tour begins in San Isidro de El General, from where we will board the transport to this beautiful place.

     The journey by vehicle takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes to reach the entrance to the path right next to the Union river and its abundant and crystalline waters that supply the neighboring communities with water resources. Here, we prepare, adjust the shoes and tie the laces well to go towards the adventure. Our ascent has a total of 3 km away.

    This is a medium-difficulty level hike as the total distance is 8 km for the whole hike. However, it is important that you have done similar hikes and some preparation.

 6:00 a.m. Departure from downtown San Isidro

 

 7:20 a.m. Arrival in San Jerónimo and start of the hike

 

 8:00 a.m. Box breakfast on the way

 

 8:40 a.m.  Continue the hike

 

10:00 a.m. Visit the "Belo de Novia" waterfall

 

12:30 a.m. Lunch at the campground

 

2:00 p.m. Start the hike down

 

3:30 p.m. Short stop in San Jerónimo community and coffee time

 

4:00 p.m. Transport back to San Isidro

 

5:30 p.m. Arrival in downtown San Isidro

How cold can temperture go in the place?

Temperture can go below 17C degrees. It is advisable to take a sweater in case it gets cold.

 

How much time in advance should I book this tour?

The tour is not operated every single day, so it is better to make your inquiry at least 3 days before and we will confirm availability.

 

How long is the trail from the starting point to the shelter?

The trail is 3 km long from the entrance of the trail to the shelter. From the shelter to the waterfall there are 2 km.

 

Is the guiding service shared or do I and my group have our own guide?

Guiding service is provided for the group. However, if you want to have a private guide, we will make the arrangements.
