Hiking Corcovado National Park through El Tigre trail is an extraordinary life experience. The tour consists of a 7 km trail among the primary rainforest typical of the Osa Peninsula. Moreover, during the hike you can witness the exuberant wildlife characteristic of this delightful protected area. Even though there are other trails in the park, these require visitors to take a boat, take care of the tides, rain conditions, and many other factors. These circumstances make it impossible for hikers to get to the park. Nevertheless, El Tigre trail is a new tour option available for visitors that do not have much time or that only want to take a relatively short hiking tour to Corcovado. Finally, you will have a great experience visiting “Dos Brazos de Rio Tigre” community while doing rural tourism.
Considering the distance and the maximum elevation (400 m.a.s.l.), this tour is ideal for medium level hikers who want to take the tour to Corcovado. The hike is available throughout the year, but during rainy season appropriate gear must be taken under consideration. Finally, the duration of the tour is around 6-7 hours in total. Therefore, you will have a great hiking adventure getting in contact with nature and its healing properties.
Day 1
Pick up from Puerto Jiménez and transfer to Dos Brazos village.

Day 2
After breakfast, we start our hike (at 6:00 a.m.) within the primary rainforest of Corcovado National Park. Consider this is a full-day hike, so you need to bring a bottle of water. We provide a box lunch to go so you can have lunch on the way. After the experience in this intense jungle, we return to the village. You may want to have a short walk in the village on your own if you want. Later, you have local dinner at the lodge.
Day 3
Departure today will depend on the time you want to leave. However, you may want to spend more nights in the village and take do any other activities like: Visiting a waterfall, taking a gold mining tour, horseback riding, butterfly garden tour, or taking cooking classes.
